Kassel, September 17, 2024:
Asset manager EB – Sustainable Investment Management GmbH (EB-SIM), which specializes in sustainable investments, is launching a new impact mutual fund together with Quadoro Investment GmbH (Quadoro). Quadoro Renewable Energies Europe (QEEE) is an impact-oriented fund aimed at private and professional investors. It is the first open-ended infrastructure special fund that, as an impact fund, meets the requirements of Article 9 and thus the highest sustainability category of the EU Disclosure Regulation (SFDR).
The QEEE’s investment strategy stipulates that at least 75% of investments must meet the EU taxonomy’s criteria for environmentally sustainable economic activities. With its investments, the fund makes a significant contribution to climate protection. It supports the transition to a low-carbon energy economy and thus the achievement of climate neutrality. The fund is eligible for savings plans and also enables partial tax exemptions.
QEEE invests primarily in the European Economic Area with a focus on Germany, France, Scandinavia and the Iberian Peninsula. The focus is on investments in plants that generate energy from renewable sources such as wind and solar. The intended target return is 5 to 6 percent
after costs.1
Quadoro is working with EB-SIM as investment advisor for this fund for the first time. This collaboration will enable synergy effects to be optimally utilized in the management of renewable energy projects and the administration of illiquid assets. The fund is distributed by both EB-SIM and Quadoro.
Michael Hepers, Managing Director and Chief Customer Officer of EB-SIM, says: “The cooperation with Quadoro is the next logical step in leveraging our core competencies in alternative investments and liquid portfolio management to further grow and strengthen our wholesale business. Our impact-oriented fund offers its investors double return opportunities: they can achieve both an ecological and an economic return with their investment.”
Michael Denk, Managing Director of Quadoro Investment GmbH, added on the launch: “With the approval of QEEE, we are taking a further step in the area of future-proof investments, also for private investors. With this fund, investors benefit from investments in established technologies, broad diversification through different projects and regions as well as from the high value stability of the investments. The fund also supports Quadoro’s decarbonization strategy.”
