Sustainability
Sustainability – the basis of our actions
The sustainable treatment of people and nature is the anchor of our actions due to our Christian character. It is our innermost conviction, personal commitment and life’s work. Together with our clients, we make a positive contribution to people and nature. Our goal is to invest in a better world.
Our sustainability approach
As a leading sustainable asset manager, we are convinced that sustainable investing not only makes ethical sense, but also financial sense:
With this in mind, we have used our many years of experience to develop the WIW concept, which combines three dimensions: values, integration and impact. Our values (Werte) form the foundation of our actions and guide us in identifying sustainable investments. Through the integration of sustainability opportunities and risks into the financial analysis, we can make a more holistic assessment of potential investments. In addition, our stewardship approach, consisting of company dialogues and the exercise of voting rights, aims to have a positive environmental and social impact.
Our expertise
The need for sustainable action has never been greater. We are at a critical turning point where the effects of climate change
are becoming ever more noticeable. Extreme weather events are becoming more frequent, global temperatures are reaching new record levels and the loss of biodiversity is
progressing at an alarming rate. At the same time, growing social inequality is jeopardizing social cohesion.
Against this backdrop, it is our responsibility as an investor to make a contribution to sustainable transformation in addition to generating a positive financial return.
