Kassel, July 23, 2024:
Asset manager EB – Sustainable Investment Management GmbH (EB-SIM), which specializes in ethical and sustainable investments, is repositioning itself. It is relying on proven strengths and giving even more weight to sustainability and its actively managed multi-asset strategies. Sebastian Kösters, previously Head of Multi Asset Portfolio Management, will become Chief Investment Officer (CIO). He will report to Managing Director Michael Hepers. Dr. André Höck, previously Head of ESG Integration, will head the Sustainability and Strategy division in future. He will report to Managing Director Christoph Glatzel.

As CIO, Sebastian Kösters will be responsible for the entire liquid portfolio management of EB-SIM in Frankfurt. He has worked for EB-SIM since it was founded in December 2018 and has held management responsibility as Head of Multi Asset Portfolio Management since May 2019. “The decision to appoint Sebastian Kösters as CIO follows his outstanding performance. It also underlines our stronger future positioning as a provider of sustainable, actively managed multi-asset products,” says Michael Hepers.

Sebastian Kösters has successfully managed the EB-Sustainable Multi Asset Invest (EB-SMAI) mutual fund for over 6 years. EB-SMAI has a 5-star Morningstar rating and has ranked in the top 10 percent of its peer group over the past 5 years.

The recently launched EB-Sustainable Opportunities, managed by Sebastian Kösters and Philipp Hohmann, already demonstrates EB-SIM’s stronger strategic focus on sustainable multi-asset investments. The new fund is based on the proven multi-asset allocation model of EB-SMAI but, unlike the latter, does not have an upper limit for equities. This is intended to enable higher performance contributions and distributions in the long term. All investments are also selected according to consistently sustainable criteria and comply with EB-SIM’s successful ESG investment process.

Dr. André Höck will head the Sustainability and Strategy department in future. He has also been with EB-SIM since December 2018 and, as Head of ESG Integration, has been responsible for the sustainability strategy in liquid portfolio management since July 2020.
